There are MANY 3 star players, a few less 4 star players and very few 5 star players. The probability of populating the first team Pac-12 as a 5 is just less (kinda like the proably of pulling a red ball from a jar when there are much fewer red balls in the jar). I think the better analysis is the probability of any one player contributing to the team based on the stars.
In any event, AG said it right in his article this evening.. it's all educated guessing. Some kids are still growing, some are done growing and dominated when other kids they played against were still growing... who knows. I'd rather have 25 5 stars than not, however...
