I'm kinda surprised no one has created a "virtual" bowl game........

Not a game online, but one that doesn't have a home city. They could work a deal with the home city of a bowl-eligible team and bring the game to them or a city nearby. Add in the TV and the sponsorships along with a better gate than you'd see at a all but a few traditional bowl games and I think you have a better situation.
Imagine if the "New Mexico" Bowl would have contracted with UofA to hold the game at AZ Stadium. No ticket requirement for Nevada, same or maybe even better payouts. They would need to put that altogether pretty quickly, but I'd think the negotiations would start before the regular season even ends.
And it's not like weather is an issue anymore given the pinstripe bowl or whatever they call it in NYC.
